Position: Design-Research Assistant

DesignOGC in Manhattan, New York is seeking a motivated and talented Design-Research Assistant (DRA)  to work either in Manhattan, starting immediately for an internship period, post which a full time position will be considered. We seek individuals who have an eye for in depth and quality research, elegant visuals and excellent attention to details. Experience in urban projects, landscape projects and architectural projects of social impact would be preferred. The successful and enthusiastic candidate will work with our design team on a variety of social impact projects and products.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience (Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Design, Architecture)

As the Country Manager (India), you will be involved in all our processes and get a 360°- view on how a tech product startup works. The areas of exposure you will get will include urban design + planning research, marketing, technology and operations. Requirements:

Position: Project Architect 

Location | Hyderabad/Chennai, India

DesignOGC, India is seeking a full time, motivated, experienced and dedicated Project Architect to take a lead on a residential project, overseeing development from start to finish. The successful candidate should have extensive experience designing residential buildings to a high standard and then overseeing the realization of their creation. We are seeking someone who can work closely with us but also think creatively and under their own initiative to find solutions to problems as they arise. We seek individuals who have an eye for in depth and quality design methodologies, elegant visuals and excellent attention to details. The successful and enthusiastic candidate will work with our design team on a variety of social impact projects and products.

Requirements:

  1. 4-7 years of relevant work experience in Residential Architecture as Project Architect 

  2. Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture 

  3. Licensed in India

  4. Thorough understanding of planning/building regulations, processes and cost estimation 

  5. Sound understanding of structural design

  6. Meticulous attention to detail

  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills

  8. Excellent written and spoken English

  9. Proven track record in managing projects and teams

  10. Ability to work collaboratively

Position: Urban Planner

Location | Chennai, India

DesignOGC India, seeks an analytical, detail oriented Urban Planner for a full-time position. This role will require intensive research in existing and ground up proposals. This individual will manage research activities of urban-rural projects, and assist the team in design development and data analysis. You will be working for a young, dynamic, international team and will get your own responsibilities right from the beginning

Requirements:

  1. Masters degree in Urban Planning or related field

  2. 2-4 years experience in Consultancy firms/Urban Local Bodies/Regional Authority Agencies

  3. Proficiency and experience in GIS, preparing technical reports, Plans, development control regulations, detailed project reports, City Development Plans

  4. Excellent knowledge and keen interest in Development Policies

Position: Graphic Designer - Storyteller

DesignOGC in Manhattan, New York is seeking a motivated and talented Graphic Designer-Storyteller to work remotely with our design team, starting immediately for an internship period, post which a full time position will be considered. We seek an individual who has an eye for elegant visuals, excellent attention to detail, and is fluent in graphic storytelling. The Graphic Designer-Storyteller will create engaging materials and support DesignOGC’s overall visual identity through a variety of design projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the design team, and project stakeholders to take project concepts and turn them into compelling, simple, easy to understand visual stories

  • Design attractive and effective materials in a variety of media for a range of target audiences. This will include original illustrations, logos, website graphics, info-graphics etc

  • Effectively balance work on multiple varied projects at a time.

  • Actively stay abreast of current design trends and remains proficient in desktop publishing techniques.

  • Implement feedback and changes when appropriate.

  • Proofreads work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Thinking creatively about new ways to develop the DesignOGC brand

  • Maintains confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Good spoken and written communication skills in English

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

  • Minimum one year of experience designing marketing collateral or advertisements preferred.
